Anne Horgan
Board Member
Anne Horgan is a Partner at Cambridge Innovation Capital, where she leads early-stage investments in the Life Sciences. With over two decades of experience spanning drug discovery, technology transfer, venture capital, and company creation, Anne brings a uniquely broad and international perspective to the biotech ecosystem.
Her career began as a medicinal chemist at Cambridge Biotechnology Ltd, a VC-backed biotech, where she developed small molecules for obesity. She later transitioned into technology transfer at Cancer Research Technology (now Cancer Research Horizons), gaining deep insight into academic innovation and translational challenges.
Anne subsequently built her investment career at leading European venture firms, including Sofinnova Partners and AdBio Partners, before joining CIC.
Educated in France and the UK, with postdoctoral research at Yale University, Anne holds a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry from the University of Bristol and a diplôme d’ingénieur from INSA Rouen. She is an inventor on eight patent families and has authored several peer-reviewed publications.
