Chris Schiering PhD

As Head of Immunology at T-Therapeutics, Chris combines deep scientific expertise and a strategic translational perspective to drive the development of impactful therapies for patients with chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.

Chris has published extensively in leading scientific journals and held distinguished research awards throughout his academic career. His contributions to cytokine biology, immunoregulation and host-microbiota crosstalk have meaningfully advanced our understanding of inflammatory disease mechanisms.

More recently, Chris held a senior leadership role at Sanofi UK, where he led a large cross-functional team and several research programmes spanning target ID and validation through to lead generation. He also served as global research disease area expert, guiding pipeline programmes across multiple modalities and supporting I&I business development activities.

Chris earned a PhD from the University of Oxford, conducted postdoctoral research at the Francis Crick Institute, and led a Wellcome Trust-funded research group as MRC Investigator at Imperial College London.
